I made this for my mother.
She raised three children. Thirty-six years on, with grandchildren of her own now, she is still the one checking everyone else is alright before she sits down.
I have just had children myself. Watching her with them changed how I see her. She is down on the floor with them. She is carrying them. She is doing the reading and the bath and the walk to the park, the same way she did all of it for me.
I want her to feel as strong doing it now as she was doing it then.
Not younger. Not different. Just strong enough to keep being who she has always been, for one more generation.
I went looking for something built for a woman her age and I could not find one. Everything was made for men in gyms or women in their twenties. So I made this instead.
